It is our intention to make our Nursery genuinely accessible to children and
families from all sections of the local community. In order to accomplish this,
we will;
- Consider every child’s admission on a individual basic subject to our current circumstances including;

- Be flexible about attendance patterns so we accommodate the needs of individual children and families. All patterns of attendance will be discussed with parents on a individual basic, however full use of funded hours may not always be guaranteed due to the current circumstances including;

- Ensure that the existence of the Nursery is widely known in all the local communities. We will place notices advertising the Nursery in places where all sections of the community can see them in more than one language if appropriate.
- We aim to keep a spare place at each session to accommodate an emergency admission. Children are admitted in strict date of birth order.
- We are registered as a provider of childcare on non-domestic premises on the
Ofsted Early Years Register.
- Comply with the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage Safeguarding and Welfare requirements – Staffing, Staff: Child Ratios - Safety and Suitability of Premises, Environment and Equipment. - Maintain our staffing Ratio of 1:5 for children aged 2 yrs to 3 yrs and 1:8 for children aged 3 yrs to 5 yrs. These ratios are under constant review to make sure that the
safety and needs of the children are being met.
- Describe the Nursery and its practices in terms which make it clear that it welcomes everyone. (fathers, mothers, other relations, carers and child minders, including all genders, cultures, ethnic, religious, and social groups, with and without disabilities.
- Monitor the gender and ethnic background of children joining the group to ensure that no accidental discrimination is taking place.
- Make our Equal Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Policy widely known.
- Consult with families about the opening times of the Nursery to avoid excluding anyone.
- You will be given a Parent Information File on your child’s admission to the group which contains this policy, our Equal Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Policy, Special Educational Needs Policy, Safeguarding Children Policy. Attendance Policy, Complaints Policy & Procedures and information on the Early Years Foundation
Stage Framework.
- We are members of Suffolk’s List of Providers and are able to accept eligible 2, 3 and
4 yr old children for funded early education.
- If parents are wanting to delay the entrance into school placement, we can not always guarantee a place will be available at our setting due to our current circumstances

- We allow admissions to children aged 2 years during the term after their 4th Birthday.
- Children will be unable to remain with us following the legal age of the child
attending school.
